Lyrics: All With You + My Song Reflection That Came A Year Late

“All With You” by Taeyeon (Moon Lovers: Scarlet Heart Ryeo OST)

I am happy that I am by your side
I dream because I am by your side
I can smile because I am by your side
I pray again that you will be my person

If you see my heart and feel my true heart
If you see my heart and find your way to me
I want to give you all of my heart
If you can stay by my side forever

Thank you for being by my side
Because you’re by my side it’s so warm
Because you’re by my side I am able to have strength
Just looking at you makes tears come

If you see my heart and feel my true heart
If you see my heart and find your way to me
I want to give you all of my heart
If you can stay by my side forever

Even if we get exhausted in this world
Let’s always stay by each other’s side
Never let go of my hand

I want to use my last love for you
I would be so happy if my last destiny was you
I want to give you all of my heart
If you can stay by my side forever

All With You~
All With You~

This is a post I had always wanted to write even before I had this AMLIFT website. I originally wanted to write my reflection of this song on my Tumblr blog ever since it was released on 13th September last year but the idea kept getting pushed to the back of my head. I guess now it is a good time to dig it out and talk about this song which I have special feelings of.

When I wanted to hear this song for the first time when it was released last September, I plugged my earphones and listened to it intently. I was lying on my bed, eyes closed while Taenggu’s voice was singing into my ears. It was strangely soothing and comfortable. There was something enticing about her voice in this song that soothed me so deep inside; it soothed my tired soul, as if her voice was like a big hand stroking my head and putting me to sleep comfortably. I saw blue sky. I saw clouds. When the song ended, I opened my eyes. I felt as if I had just woken up from a beautiful dream.

Later on, I tried singing this song along with her through my bluetooth speaker which was playing the music from my phone. It felt so easy to sing along with her in this particular song. I could effortlessly match her voice perfectly while singing. It was like how I sounded like in my head was exactly like her voice through the speaker. Or should I say, she was singing exactly like how I would sound like in my head. This could explain why I found it so enticing to listen to her voice in this song because I felt like I was listening to my own voice in my head through hers; I was listening to the voice of my own soul through my earphones.

Now that I am writing about this song, I went to look up on the translations of the lyrics and realised how simple and straightforward the lyrics are. There aren’t any flowery forms of expressions. All the words used are so innocent, as if it was just a teenage school girl writing a love letter to her loved one. It made me realise that love could be expressed in such a simple way too and it still touched my heart. Probably this was why it sounded so easy on my ears too when the song was sung in Korean because the way Taenggu sang it also sounded very soft, relaxed and simple.

I always say that I wished I could hear how my mind singing sounded like from above to the artistes but the fact was Taenggu had already made part of that wish come true – by singing like my own soul and letting me hear how “I” sounded like through her voice.

역시 Taenggu is the Queen of OST!

To Taenggu: Everything I do, I wanna do it with you because everything feels better with you by my side. I want all the good things in life and I want it all with you by my side. Please stay by my side forever. All with you~ ❤
