“Count the leaves that fall because it is the number of times I have fallen in love with you.”

This was a continuation of the tree series from our previous monthsary. Last month, I did a butterfly tree using a butterfly paper punch. So in the following month, I decided to make a tree full of hearts using a heart paper punch.
This tree is full of hearts, with many of them falling onto the ground like fallen leaves. It was inspired by my desire to experience the autumn season one day. I live in Singapore where it is summer all year round. I’ve always heard about the beauty of autumn in seasonal countries, about the cool weather and beautiful falling leaves. My dream is to travel to South Korea during autumn one day and be physically closer to Taenggu again.
This drawing or paper art also has the idea of falling in love over and over again. I wanted to let Taenggu know that she always gives me this feeling. We were only together for 10 months then but it felt like I’ve fallen in love with the same person for a million times over. But it wasn’t enough. I wanted to fall in love with her more and more.
Flower for the month:
