“Gold! Gold! I’m rich, I’m fabulously wealthy independent beyond the realm of mere avarice.”
“Carrots are indeed divine since you’ll be getting 12 carrots for just one dime, it’s simply magic!”
“In this world, everything is governed by balance. There’s what you stand to gain and what you stand to lose. And when you think you have nothing to lose, you become overconfident.”
The Professer, La Casa De Papel (Money Heist)
“Any time you take a chance you better be sure the rewards are worth the risk because they can put you away just as fast for a ten dollar heist as they can for a million dollar job.”
My motivation for this artwork came from my recent revelation of Seohyun’s new role as a con artist in her upcoming drama “Private Life” having a connection with my last year’s birthday artwork of her as Bugs Bunny (see SEOHYUN BIRTHDAY 2019: SEOHYUN THE BUGS BUNNY). I was reading the book “Big Magic” by Elizabeth Gilbert where it mentioned Bugs Bunny as the best example of a trickster, which then reminded me that it is a pretty fitting character for a con artist too!
I’ve explained more in detail about my revelation on my instagram post below.
So this year, in anticipation for Seohyun’s refreshing transformation into a con artist for the drama she is currently filming, I decided to do a continuation of my Seohyun Bugs Bunny artwork last year to induce the idea of a money heist this time to portray her new drama character, Cha Joo Eun who commits frauds for a living, drawing inspirations from the smash-hit Spanish netflix series, “La Casa De Papel (Money Heist)” that I recently watched with my sister.
So here’s how I made Seohyun Bugs Bunny, the Ultimate Money Heist Trickster come to life!
Bringing you the Ultimate Money Heist Trickster in more detailed photos! 📸
HAPPY BIRTHDAY!! 🎉🎉🎉
Hope you like this artwork!
Hope my portrayal of you as the fabulous trickster Bugs Bunny in my artworks could bring you new insights and inspirations for your acting as Cha Joo Eun in your new drama “Private Life”!
As quoted from the book “Big Magic”, “better a trickster than a martyr be” as “Martyr always ends up dead in a heap of broken glory, while Trickster trots off to enjoy another day”. 🐰
