Seohyun Birthday 2020: Seohyun Bugs Bunny, The Ultimate Money Heist Trickster

“Gold! Gold! I’m rich, I’m fabulously wealthy independent beyond the realm of mere avarice.”
Bugs Bunny
“Carrots are indeed divine since you’ll be getting 12 carrots for just one dime, it’s simply magic!”
Bugs Bunny
“In this world, everything is governed by balance. There’s what you stand to gain and what you stand to lose. And when you think you have nothing to lose, you become overconfident.”
The Professer, La Casa De Papel (Money Heist)
“Any time you take a chance you better be sure the rewards are worth the risk because they can put you away just as fast for a ten dollar heist as they can for a million dollar job.”
Stanley Kubrick

My motivation for this artwork came from my recent revelation of Seohyun’s new role as a con artist in her upcoming drama “Private Life” having a connection with my last year’s birthday artwork of her as Bugs Bunny (see SEOHYUN BIRTHDAY 2019: SEOHYUN THE BUGS BUNNY). I was reading the book “Big Magic” by Elizabeth Gilbert where it mentioned Bugs Bunny as the best example of a trickster, which then reminded me that it is a pretty fitting character for a con artist too!

I’ve explained more in detail about my revelation on my instagram post below.

Recently I was reading the book "Big Magic" by Elizabeth Gilbert and she wrote that one of the keys to creative living is to reject the way of the martyr and embrace the way of the trickster. She then cited Bugs Bunny as the best example of a trickster.⁣ ⁣ It was at this point that I suddenly recalled the Bugs Bunny birthday artwork that I made for Seohyun last year and realised a connection from it to the recent news in Feb this year which revealed that she has been confirmed a role in a new drama where she will play a con artist. Con artist = Trickster = Bugs Bunny! Isn't that amazing? 😱⁣ ⁣ It was strange because in the past years I had always been modelling Seohyun after a different bunny cartoon character that coincidentally reflects her role in the drama that she was filming at that moment, with the exception of last year. I made a Bugs Bunny artwork for her although she wasn't filming any new dramas at that time. Was it actually not a reflection of her present reality, but an early prediction of the future drama she will be starring in the following year? 🤭⁣ ⁣ @seojuhyun_s Fighting for your new drama "Private Life"! Hope you can gain strength and inspiration from the ultimate trickster, Bugs Bunny for your role! 😆🐰💪⁣ ⁣ ⁣ ⁣#seohyun #seojuhyun #서현 #서주현 #徐贤 #newdrama #privatelife #conartist #trickster #bugsbunny #birthdayartwork #spiritualart #artists #artistes #lawofattraction #meaningfulcoincidence #mystical #signsandsymbols #synchronicity #energy #spiritual #connection #everydayoracles #mindofsoul #divine⁣

So this year, in anticipation for Seohyun’s refreshing transformation into a con artist for the drama she is currently filming, I decided to do a continuation of my Seohyun Bugs Bunny artwork last year to induce the idea of a money heist this time to portray her new drama character, Cha Joo Eun who commits frauds for a living, drawing inspirations from the smash-hit Spanish netflix series, “La Casa De Papel (Money Heist)” that I recently watched with my sister.

Drawing inspirations from the Spanish netflix series “La Casa De Papel (Money Heist)” which has become crazily popular all over the world for my artwork.
Featuring Seohyun as Bugs Bunny who is able to trick her way to wealthiness like The Professor from Money Heist.

So here’s how I made Seohyun Bugs Bunny, the Ultimate Money Heist Trickster come to life!

Dear Seohyun,

Hope you like this artwork!

Hope my portrayal of you as the fabulous trickster Bugs Bunny in my artworks could bring you new insights and inspirations for your acting as Cha Joo Eun in your new drama “Private Life”!

As quoted from the book “Big Magic”, “better a trickster than a martyr be” as “Martyr always ends up dead in a heap of broken glory, while Trickster trots off to enjoy another day”. 🐰

Handmade with love,
Celeste Koh
