29th May was also a Vesak Day holiday in Singapore. But for me as a jobless person then, it made no difference for me as everyday had been a holiday since I lost my job in April. As a Buddhist, I wanted to celebrate Buddha’s birthday by attending a free talk and meditation event organised by Kadampa Meditation Centre at World Peace Cafe in the morning.
After the talk and meditation, there was also a free vegetarian lunch provided at the café too! Although I didn’t take a photo of my food back then, it was actually pretty delicious!
After filling my tummy with a satisfying lunch, I began my day of celebrating our 40th monthsary with Taenggu in proper. I headed over to Shaw Lido in Orchard to catch the Avengers: Infinity War movie promptly at 3pm.

After the movie, I went over to Picnic located at Wisma Atria. It’s an interesting garden-themed food court with 10 different stalls offering a range of cuisines from Japanese Butadon, Taiwanese beef noodles, Korean-Mexican tacos, Swiss Rosti, French poulet, Italian pastas, pizzas, and American-style smash burgers by Omakase Burger. I had always wanted to pay it a visit after seeing several nice photos by friends who had dined there. So here was finally my chance!
After walking around and taking a look at the stalls, I decided to give the beef burger a try and also got myself a glass of orange juice.

Spamming you with lots of selfies here.
And lastly, ending off our dinner date with a full body shot through a mirror I happened to pass by after leaving Picnic.
That night, as I walked back home, I observed the moon shining brightly through the layers of clouds partially covering it.
Our 40th monthsary and counting. Yeah, the moon was still watching over us. 🙂 <3
