#25 Monthsary: Let Me Be Your Otaku (Comic Series Part 2)

“Between people who truly care and love each other, there are times where you don’t need to say anything at all. Those emotions that are hard to express with words. Things like “I love you” and “Thank you”, you don’t really need to say those words.”
Kim TaeYeon

This is a sequel to my previous monthsary comic drawing (#24 MONTHSARY: LET ME BE YOUR OTAKU (COMIC SERIES PART 1)).

The idea for the second part quickly came after I posted the first one on our monthsary in January. I imagined how Taenggu (Bobo) would respond to me being an Otaku to her. I know in real life, Taenggu is actually a very warm-hearted person who is always very kind to her fans and anyone around her. Someone who once cried because she felt bad that while the members were eating on the table, the staff were eating on the floor (just quoting one of the many examples of her kindheartedness). She’s definitely not the kind of idol who exudes arrogance even at her high level of popularity. So I imagined the kind of reactions she would have in return for my “otaku” actions to her – these are probably even the real responses she had when she saw my previous comic drawing at that time too.

I guess my idea of Kim Taenggu is like if someone cares for her, she would care for that person 200 percent back more. I guess she’s that kind of person. When her love for me is hard to see sometimes, I try to imagine and visualise it through my drawings. That ever-so-loving image of Taenggu in my head. Because my faith and trust tell me that she’s that kind of person, so, yes she is. ❀
